The main problem of the current art world isn’t the lack of interest in art, art thieves, AI, or the modern generation — the main problem of the art world is the structure of museums.
Yusuf Ali Osman, from Croydon in south London, alleges that the museum breached the Equality Act by not offering audio-described tours of the blockbuster exhibition which opened last month.
Dr Osman, who is registered blind and has no sight in either eye, called the British Museum to ask whether audio guides would be provided for the Bayeux Tapestry, but was told that they were not available. The museum said that because of restrictions on the number of visitors who can enter the gallery, it would prioritise self-guided visits over programmed tours and events, according to Leigh Day.
Current museum personnel can’t get that it is very simple to buy Apple AirTags and put them somewhere on art pieces to increase the chances of stopping art thieves.
Current museum personnel can’t get that it is very simple to just use AI to stop discriminating against people.
Current museum personnel simply can’t get how modern things work, and this is why we need to change everything here and make museums and galleries great again.
Stop hiring boomers. Stop letting them teach modern generations for years. Time to open the doors to fresh art ideas and fresh art personnel.
